Wir gingen 1,5 Std. durch den Thermalpark mit farbigen Sinterterassen und kleinen Geysieren. Danach fuhren wir an der Westseite des Tongariro NP vorbei und gingen 1,5 Std. um den Lake Rotopounamu. Auf dem Top 10 Campingplatz im kleinen Ort Ohakune am S\u00fcdrand des NP buchten wir die F\u00e4hre auf die S\u00fcdinsel f\u00fcr den 4. und zur\u00fcck am 28.12.2018. Auf Grund der Wettervorherage hatten wir uns entschieden unseren Besuch auf der S\u00fcdinsel eine Woche vorzuziehen und auf dem R\u00fcckweg nach Auckland noch mal mehr Zeit f\u00fcr die Nordinsel zu 2296px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Samstag, 1.12.<br>\nDie geplante Fahrt zum Vulkan Ruapehu fiel aus, da auf dieser Stra\u00dfe ein Lauf- und Radtag angesetzt war. Stattdessen ging es weiter an die S\u00fcdwestk\u00fcste am Raukawa Lookout vorbei bis nach Whanganui. Dort kamen wir gerade rechtzeitig zum Samstagsmarkt, auf dem wir zwei gute Vollkornbrote erstanden. Vom Durie Hill Tower hatte man einen guten Blick auf den Ort und den Whanganui River kurz vor seiner M\u00fcndung, auf dem noch ein Raddampfer verkehrt.  Der geplante  Eintritt in die St. Paul Memorial Church wurde uns recht unwirsch verwehrt. Wir h\u00e4tten eine gef\u00fchrte Tour buchen m\u00fcssen. Auf dem weiteren Weg Richtung Wellington \u00fcbernachteten wir in Foxton Beach. Es war sehr windig und der Strand war schmutzig braun mit viel Schwemmholz und abends und nachts fiel viel Regen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 Das Wetter war zum Gl\u00fcck besser als die Vorhersage. Nach einigen Umwegen erreichten wir den Mt. Victoria Lookout mit sch\u00f6nem Blick \u00fcber die Hauptstadt Neuseelands. Nach einem Besuch im Nationalmuseum &#8222;Te Papa&#8220; und einem Stadtrundgang mit Besichtigung von Parlamentsgeb\u00e4ude, dem bekannten &#8222;Beehive&#8220; (Bienenkorb) und einigen Kirchen \u00fcbernachteten wir bei angenehmen Wetter auf einem freien Stellplatz an der Evans Bay Marina etwas au\u00dferhalb der City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped Auf einem Platz in Hafenn\u00e4he spielte eine Big Band der Armee vor einem zunehmenden zuf\u00e4llig vorbeikommenden Publikum. Auch wir h\u00f6rten eine ganze Weile zu. Mit der Cable Car-Zahnradbahn, einem weiteren Wahrzeichen Wellingtons, ging es hinauf zum Botanischen Garten, wo wir einen Rundweg nahmen und zu Fu\u00df zur\u00fcck in die City gingen. Beim Automobilclub (AA) von NZ holten wir uns einige gute Stra\u00dfenkarten f\u00fcr die S\u00fcdinsel. Leider war unsere DKB-Visacard gesperrt und wir erfuhren bei einem Anruf, dass jemand in Indonesien die Karte wohl kopiert und versucht hatte Geld abzuheben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery
